Associate Attorney

Erynn A. Hamel is an Associate Attorney at Coastal Legal Affiliates, P.C. in Somerset MA. 

After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts (B.A. in Crime and Justice Studies), Attorney Hamel continued on to the University of Massachusetts School of Law, where she earned her J.D. cum laude (2022). During her studies, she received recognition for her academic excellence, and was the President of the Parents in Law School Association. She completed the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program which seeks to provide accessible education to incarcerated students, joining campus-based student leaders with incarcerated students to study collaboratively in a correctional facility. Attorney Hamel has also earned certificates in Paralegal Studies and Law Enforcement from Bristol Community College. 

Prior to admission into the bar as an attorney, Attorney Hamel gained a wealth of legal experience at Coastal Legal Affiliates. Attorney Hamel has worked at the firm in various positions; first as an intern in 2015, then as a legal secretary, and for several years as the lead paralegal. In her years with the firm, she has handled various matters in all areas of law. 

Attorney Hamel is new to the firm, where she will devote a large percentage of her practice to family and probate law in the realm of child custody, divorce, estate planning, and probate civil procedures. Attorney Hamel is also passionate about criminal defense, her concentration in her studies in undergrad and law school.
